PONOS RACING, a racing team owned by game developer PONOS (known for mobile games like Nyanko Great War), has announced its entry into the Super GT GT300 class for the 2024 season. Their weapon of choice: a powerful Ferrari 296 GT3.
Kay Cozzolino and Lil Waddu will share driving duties for the team. General Manager Yodan Tsujiko, the only gentleman driver to complete the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2023, will take on the challenge of managing the team in Japan’s top GT race series.
Tsujiko’s passion for racing goes far back:
“I have loved motorsports since I was a child and had a great admiration for racing teams,” he said. “PONOS’ vision is to bring smiles to customers around the world through games and to pursue the possibilities of entertainment. However, we believe that racing also has the potential to be a form of entertainment that will bring smiles to many customers’ faces.”
Lil Waddu, a 22-year-old French driver, will participate in a Japanese race for the first time. With a career starting in karting and transitioning to four-wheel racing in 2017, she was selected as a Ferrari official driver in 2023. She competed in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) and became the first female class winner in WEC history at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

The Super GT series is one of the most popular motorsport championships in Japan. It features GT300 and GT500 cars, and it is known for its close racing and exciting battles.
The 2024 Super GT season will begin on April 6 at Okayama International Circuit.
